Today this blog turned 1 year old!
When I started food with pictures one year ago today, the intent was to post daily. Well, I ended up with only 163 posts, but I’m still happy with that.
What I didn’t know when I started this blog — what I had no idea about — was how many other food (and some non-food) blogs I’d learn about along the way. I was shocked at the number of active food blogs and thrilled with all the wonderful recipes … and the amazing writers creating these blogs. During this past year I have visited many, many blogs and have found new recipes to try and I feel as though I’ve been invited in to so many lovely kitchens of these new dear friends I’ve met.
Posting my favorite recipes with pictures, memories and stories has been exciting and challenging and most of all, fun. This food blog is exactly what I wanted it to be (minus the daily posts), but the best part about this blog is that I feel as if I have a new set of friends. I’m thrilled to see all those of you who have stopped by to “like” a post or comment on a recipe.
I sincerely thank you all for stopping by and I hope you come back soon and often. I don’t think the posts will be as frequent, but this blog will continue … maybe a post once a week will be my goal for this year!
